well, like, does a person need a best friend? this girl (we used to be like, bestbestbest friends), now she's all like, 'seriously, best friends suck sh!t. it's better to just be GOOD friends instead of BEST friends' on her xanga. and i just think thats kind of stupid, because its nice knowing you have a friend that you know will always be there for you no matter what, someone different from all your other friends.
ehh, so what do you guys think? |

Sometimes you have to be your own best friend....you cant be co-dependent on others to make your life happy. However, I do agree having someone to be there is nice but some people (like your friend, it seems) seem more comfortable having their guard up and not letting people get to close. Some people are just like that and you have to accept it until they're willing to open up.
