i close my eyes
after all whats the point?
do you know how long i've waited?
i open my eyes
i look up from below
i look up from my rivers
there you are teaching
here i am learning
i'm sorry it took me so long to come around
i really have to hand it to you
you're always such a lady
someone i can trust
someone i can always count on
give me this chance
to open my arms to you
i promise i won't let you down
now my worries are washed out to sea
all those feelings, i never thought
would begin the cycles that stay
i close my eyes
like day and night
and pray that
nothing can take you away from me
no i won't let go
i've been down that road before
i pray that we will stick together
i am finally in your heart.
