i know that several people have mentioned this before, but i thouhgt it would be nice to put it down officially
it's always nice to wish cb members a happy birthday, but is it really sensible to have the thread hanging around for up to a week after the event? i think there should be some sort of protocol introdued whereby all birthday threads which haven't fallen out of the first or second page by two days (or similar) after the birthday in question should be closed. anyone who wants to wish a happy birthday after that can do so through a pm. |

We don't have any major problems with birthday threads. If you care so much about crowding, I think that once their birthday is over the thread should be deleted completely (not closed).

Someone saying "happy birthday" over and over again=spam. Yes, it's nice to wish someone a happy birthday, even someone that you don't even know, but still. it's an easy post to add to your post count. ![]() |
