This happened to me, cept not in a washer, it was raining and it dropped:
First, your warranty receipt is not needed, the Apple worker can tell by the serial number on the back of your iPOD. 2nd, if it went through the washer completely, it is infrequent that you can save it, as the battery is connected to the ipod internally and you it still gives a charge. The water had a prolong connection and I say probably killed it. What I did was let it dry for a few weeks and bring it back to the apple store, say it suddenly stopped working. Unethical, but it is not of great cost to Apple, as they will recycle your iPOD later anyways. You will get a refurbished iPOD, and they will refurbish your iPOD wen you trade it in. Why i let it dry is because I heard there's a water marker inside the iPOD to prove that it's gone into water. I dunno, they never checked mine, the apple worker was nice and gave me a new one. So I told them mine died suddenly one day, and the gave me a new one. kk. Heart wrenching experience nonetheless. |
