Having been born in England and sharing Korean, Chinese, Japanese and French nationalities.

Recently I figured that I can't stand Americanised anime anymore, or let's call it "dubbed". In fact I couldn't stand it when Dragonball Z first started on Cartoon Network, and the immense theme song "Chala head chala" which lived in every child's heart in Asia became, "Dragon....Dragon..Rock the Dragon...Dragonball z...dewdewdewdew(annoying guitaring)". The companies that dub the animes normally have poor transalations as well, but worst of all, are the names. Initial D's Takumi became Tak and Itsuki became Iggy!!!!!! Although somehow I do realise they are starting to get slightly better, eg Witch Hunter Robin, if they'd left out the theme song, I'd hate dubbed anime forever. Don't you feel though that, these dubbing companies are ruining the impact and potential the anime has on a cultured civilisation?

Anyone feel the same?

Well my obsession for Sailor Moon has been going on for many years. Most of the episodes for that series I've watched it in Cantonese. Well, now that I've heard it over and over again I actually think it sounds better that way. But for other Anime, I guess it would sound better in Japanese.
