i downloaded brushes, but everytime i try to use them, i can`t choose a color cus i have this.. pattern kinda thing.

I don't know why you've got a screenshot of the clone brush settings... The brush tool is the tool that looks like a paintbrush.
 Click onthat and see what happens.
