i was just wondering what everyone else is required to read, and if you'd recommend those books.
i'm currently reading the following for 12th grade AP Lit: "love in the time of cholera" by garcia-marquez "the god of small things" by roy "the poisonwood bible" by kingsolver anyone read these? comments? |

Who else here has required summer readings for school?? Thats another reason y i hate AP English...gaah!

Thats another reason y i hate AP English...gaah! ![]() yea...I hate AP English too...we had to read the great gatsby, which in & of itself was a good book, but we also had to do: 1) a huge study guide (ch. 7 had 21 questions...and not just simple ones) 2) 300 some notecards (no correctional fluids allowed) 3) 90 some vocab words to locate in the book. and no, we couldn't just write the page number down, we had to write the whole freaking sentence too. I'm still not done. Darn Teacher. And to think I'll have to do all of this for another book next year. ![]() ![]() |
