After attempting all sixty-one pages of this forum, it's not surprising to say that only a handful of compositions are skillfully written – and all written by the same few writers. It's not surprising, at least not to me, that the average thread in this forum receives only a few replies, at best; it's not surprising that the mindless drivel fools like to call "raps" receive pages of feedback, while a well thought out piece is overlooked and is lucky if it even gets two replies. But then again, said pieces are rare – hard to find among pages of other sorts of nonsense: finding love, complaining about life, losing love, expressing sadness and depression, dying for love – it's all so common. It's not a wonder that this forum is underappreciated – it seems that nearly all of its authors don't understand what true writing is: you children flock to the forum to post up all of your most recent chicken scratch. Is there any meaning behind your words? Any emotion? Any significance at all? And is there anything that sets it apart from everything else? No, of course not. That's why people disregard this forum. Everything's banal; it's all clichéd.
Yeah, it's different from other shit I've written. HM, I wonder why. |

I personally can understand where everyone is coming from on this, but I believe that every writer should have artistic freedom. There should be no bounds on what a poet has to write. I think he should satisfy himself before he can reach out to other readers. Of course some readers will not accept the work while others will enjoy reading their pieces. Everyone has to realize that people who wander into this forum all share different interest whether it be a well written prose or a as you all say “shitty rap”. Since when has good talent not been overlooked. This happens in the music industry constantly. You just have to accept life for what it is because we know its not always fair( especially not for me being black
