Okay, thank the good creator that I've been blessed with best friends and friends all my life until now I am starting a new school without anybody from my school last year. I had many friends before because I've known the majority them since elementary school, and all it takes is a new barbie for someone to be your friend. I'm not really a "social" person without my friends. I'm not all that shy but I have a fear of people but then I have a fear of being alone. I just find it hard to approach someone and say "my name is Keely, can I eat lunch with you", I like being approached to people rather than talking to strangers. If you don't get what I'm saying, basically, this year I'm starting a brand new school with new people and I don't know nobody at all there, and I have no people skills ... any tips on making friends?
- I know it sounds really stupid but I had bad experiences trying to make friends at sleep away camp a few years ago, lol. - I know I should let things happen naturally but I have a fear of not fitting in, and I'm a worry-wort to the extreme. I had a dream that I went to my new school and nobody noticed me at all and I couldn't sleep the rest of the night (or the next night) - yes, lol, I know, I'm weird. |

Don't sweat it, when I went to middle school I didn't know anyone because I went to school in manhattan for the first time and all my elementary school friends choose Brooklyn schools (for those who know New York would understand this). Just basically be very friendly, I was shy too, and gradually you will meet people who are just like you, looking for friends. But yea then going to high school, I realized that everyone in my "group" is practically from all different schools anyway, so all the friends that came with me to high school from middle school are not that close with me anymore cause they found other friends and what not. Ok now I'm just rambling, goodluck
