Okay, thank the good creator that I've been blessed with best friends and friends all my life until now I am starting a new school without anybody from my school last year. I had many friends before because I've known the majority them since elementary school, and all it takes is a new barbie for someone to be your friend. I'm not really a "social" person without my friends. I'm not all that shy but I have a fear of people but then I have a fear of being alone. I just find it hard to approach someone and say "my name is Keely, can I eat lunch with you", I like being approached to people rather than talking to strangers. If you don't get what I'm saying, basically, this year I'm starting a brand new school with new people and I don't know nobody at all there, and I have no people skills ... any tips on making friends?

- I know it sounds really stupid but I had bad experiences trying to make friends at sleep away camp a few years ago, lol.

- I know I should let things happen naturally but I have a fear of not fitting in, and I'm a worry-wort to the extreme. I had a dream that I went to my new school and nobody noticed me at all and I couldn't sleep the rest of the night (or the next night)

- yes, lol, I know, I'm weird.

i'm kind of goofy. i wouldn't say i'm out-going. i won't approach anybody with "hi my name is sandy".. and besides i find that kind of lame anyway.

use whatever skill you possess. in my case, i use humor. i usually crack a few jokes (not to the whole class but like to certain classmates).

and it might be easier to just blend in, but its funner to meet people that are out there. i find them to be interesting. just try to find people with similiar interests ;p
