any tips on making a website? Im gonna try making one threw freewebs. This will be like my first time
 . I don't know how to do any thing good, im reading lissaexplains.com on how to do more neat stuff. But I was wondering if anyone knew any good tips.  My Webpage |

1. Make sure your webpage validates as whatever version of HTML you are using. If it does, it will most likely display properly across browsers. Use standard code!
2. Don't use things like JavaScript popups. They are annoying. 3. Don't automatically load music or videos or anything with sound on your site. I don't want your favorite music interrupting my favorite music, damn it. 4. Don't use "target=_blank" in link tags. Not only is it invalid in newer versions of HTML (as of XHTML 1.1), but I'll decide if I want your link to open in a new window. 5. Function over form. Make your page easy to navigate, and don't let your layout attract away from what matters--your content. |
