For the second question, there's not a clear way to do that. I'm guessing you can't with the way you've configued it... Maybe I'll try to work something out. The line height probably has to do with it being pushed up.
Third question, try doing this...

Change the cursor to the help cursor. And for the last question, just add the background color property into the div tag.
