I searched for a topic like this and I came up with nothing...I'm pretty sure there isn't a duplicate of this.
For me, I like working by myself. For example, if we have a project at school, and I could pick between doing it myself and choosing a friend to do it with, I'd do it myself. I like working on my own better because that way, I can be sure that I won't get into any arguments on how to do a certain thing, I don't have to be worried that the other person forgot about a deadline or did something I disagreed on, and I usually get a little mad in the end if my partner(s) do less work than anyone else. I also don't want to fail my team if I slip up. When I work by myself, there's only one person to count on-me. I like being credited wholly by myself, not as a small part of something. (I know that sounds arrogant, but I'm being honest.) |

I definitely prefer working by myself because most of the time when i'm working in a group, I end up doing all of the work anyway. Or, the people in my group do some work but it sucks so bad that i redo it because i'm the only one that cares. I'd rather have to depend on myself to get it done than 3 other people that may or may not do good work.
