Here's a simple how-to on eye makeup. If anyone has anything to add to this i'd be happy to edit it
![]() Hopefully this will help you go ![]() Okay! First you should clean all old eye makeup off (including waterproof mascara) & dry the area. Next put a thin coating of concealer on your eyelid to make the eyeshadow stick & last longer: ![]() Now. Time for the eyeliner. You should line your upper lid along the lashline and to the middle of the eye on the lower lashline like this: ![]() i find that lowering the entire bottom lashline makes many eyes look smaller. You may want to use the technique of pulling your eyelid sidways to make it easier to line like so: ![]() but i find that harder for some reason ![]() ![]() your eye should pretty much look like this so far: ![]() Now. Time for the eyeshadow. You may wish to choose your eyeshadow color by the guidelines below but don't hesitate to experiment sometimes! + Brown eyes look good in dark or light blue depending on your eye shade. + Hazel eyes looks good in pinks, mauves, blacks and greys. + Green eyes look good in shades of pink, salmon, mauve, and brownish-pink. + Blue eyes look good in coppers, browns, and some shades of blue. Okay. Sweep the eyeshadow from inner corner to outer corner and extend the shadow just above the eyelid and a little past the outer corner. Like so: ![]() ![]() Finally. Add mascara. Choose the color according to your hair. Black mascara may be a little too intense for some blondes or redheads so you may wish to go with a brown. Do your upper eyelashes first. Brush the mascara down on your lashes first to get all the tips: ![]() and then brush the mascara upwards on the front of the lashes while moving the brush left and right at the same time. Do this about two times but do not wait for the mascara to dry inbetween because then it will get clumpy. Next you may wish to put a little mascara on your lower lashes but be careful because cheap mascara will flake off. Personally once i'm done applying the mascara i take a clean mascara brush (you can get them free from sephora from the tester areas) to seperate my lashes: ![]() and you're finished! ![]() hope this was useful! ![]() |

That's how I do my eyes, minus the mascara, and sometimes the concealer. btw, you have really nice eyes.
For smokey eyes, blend the eyeliner or a dark powder eyeshadow out from the edges of the eye, and into your lashes. Use a grey eyeshadow and work up from your eyeliner you'll need to use lots, work it into your upper lid until you can see it well, and blend blend blend. Bring the colour around the corner, and under the lashes of the lower lid (not too much here). Ease up on the colour, and taper it off as you get closer to the inner corner of your eye. Make sure everything is blended outward nicely, and line your eye in black if you want. Lastly, coat your lashes with a couple coats of black mascara. |
