How long do Chuck Taylor's last until they are all tattered and torn and dirty. I bought a pair which has a main color of black and I'm curious how long will they look good. My mom never let me buy Chuck Taylors before because she read that they cause ankle injurys when running (wtf??). My friends say it will last about 2 years and others say that they last until you outgrown them. Also, what ways can them clean?

well, ive had my black ones for about 3 and a half years, theyve got a white and red shoestrings because i lost the other one, and they have a tiny hole on the side, but i still love them...and im never throwing any of my chucks away ever
