beneath that simple soul lays a secret.
might it be one my ears will never hear?
though has he kept it since the day we met?
would it be something that someday i'll fear?
maybe its something i want to hear him
say. or it's something i'll regret hearing.
hope its three little words from deep within.
does he care at all? will he show feelings?
it seems like he'll never really come through.
i guess i'll just stay here and wait, just wait.
just waiting is all i can really do.
not knowing this one secret is what i hate.
but for now that small secret stays unheard.
that little secret is what my heart yearns.

its a sonnet i wrote in english class. i thought it was really fun writing.
