so ive been wondering about this for a while now.. but why do all the digital art help topics go in webdesign chat? digital art has nothing to do with webdesign. the web is just one medium for it. and we HAVE a digital art forum, so why are the Photoshop questions still going in webdesign?
and why is the digital art forum in the webmasters corner category? a lot of people use digital art OFF the web. that was it's original intent - printing, advertising, etc. |

do you guys read before posting? because i think i've made it one of my points that there shouldnt even be a webmasters corner if theres already a Website forum up on the top, because it isnt consistant with the rest of the forum.
if someone were new to the forum, do you think itd make sense to them to not put the digital art help topics in the digital art forum? QUOTE Digital art falls under webdesign as well as coding and making a site. and as said many times before; digital art is used for things OTHER than webdesign as well. even headphones has stated this. QUOTE The digital art displayed in the Digital Art forum isn't always used on websites. It's just a hobby. People just want to display their work. Kinda like a community portfolio. Just as there's Xanga, Myspace, LJ, etc. showcases, there's a Digital Art showcase. right - it is a hobby, or for some people, a profession. and any professional will tell you that this system is completely screwed up. xanga, myspace, blogger and lj help all technically fall under website help, because whether you're talking about css or html, it's all WEBSITE coding related. but it makes sense to split them up into their own groups and give them their own help subforums, because for users browsing the forum, it's easier to find something if everything is categorized into their APPROPRIATE places. if i were new to the forum and had a digital art question.. do you know where'd i go first? the digital art forum. why? because i have a digital art question. i dont have a webdesigning question. i just wanna know how to vector, and for my own personal use. i dont have a website, and i dont want to use my vector for the web. i wanna print it out and stick it on my wall. so tell me why i should goto the webdesign forum rather than the digital art forum. |
