I've noticed that a lot of people that apply to be official members only do it for the xanga tools and thus let their ppd drop after getting the status. And since I'm so anal, I guess this thread is to inform of member with a ppd less than 5.

this seems relevant, so i thought i'd bring it up.
now that we have a pinned topic on absences in the lounge, we can see who's gone and who isn't. my idea is that official members who post get their ppd "frozen" until the day they say they'll come back, regardless of when they actually decide to post that they are. that made almost no sense. |

QUOTE(suddenly she @ Aug 3 2005, 12:21 AM) this seems relevant, so i thought i'd bring it up. now that we have a pinned topic on absences in the lounge, we can see who's gone and who isn't. my idea is that official members who post get their ppd "frozen" until the day they say they'll come back, regardless of when they actually decide to post that they are. that made almost no sense. That could lead to alot of problems. What is they dont come back within the timeframe they are suppose to? Or just make up an absense because, lets say, they are too lazy to post but dont want their ppd to go down. In the offical member thread there is a remedy for this QUOTE I'm going to be on a trip for several weeks. How can i not be demoted in that time?
A: Post like a mad dog... here is a chart. 1 day away- post 5 posts more than usual. 2 days- post 10 posts more than you usually would 3 days- post 15 more than you usually would, and so forth. Basically, calculate how many posts you must post in order to at least stay 5 posts a day on the average. Then, post but DO NOT SPAM. |
