Key facts about relationships:
1. Relationships must be mutual. If both parties want to just be friends, it will work; if both parties want to be lovers, it will work; if one party wants to be more than friends, and the other wants to just be friends, it will not work--whether you say anything about your interest or not. 2. Why? Because most likely, there will always be stress on the relationship. Whenever you hang out, you'll always want more, even if you try to play it as "just being friends." The other person will sense the stress, too. 3. Solution? Tell her how you feel. Best-case scenario, she feels the same (or is willing to date and see what happens), and it works out. Worst-case, she isn't interested, and maybe you stop being friends--but as #2 points out, that might happen anyway. |
