Is there something wrong with dating, marrying, or being intimate with someone from a different race?
I don't see any problem at all with being with someone from a different race, I like all guys. Is it a sin? Why don't people accept it? What's the problem with being with someone of a different color or culture? |

yes there is.
the problem is, as each race interminles, cultural lines and genetic lines become blurred. this causes two problems: -the offspring of mixed decent will not maintain the culture of the minority parent- and therefore all minority cultures will eventually be destroyed. -genetic diseases, like say huntingtons, are opened up to the world. your ancestry is mixed, and therefore cannot be use reliably as a risk factor. |

QUOTE(pandamonium @ Jul 31 2005, 1:23 PM) thats also what i think. i dont think its racism i think its only because people wanna keep it in the boundary lines. they dont want to see their kids mixed. ... There's not going to be a law anytime soon about whether or not people of different race can get married. Marriage is only a legal proclaimation of two people, so they can be considered a legal couple. If people were not allowed to become a legal couple because of their race, that would be racism. You're preventing someone from getting certain priveleges because of their race. There is nothing wrong with people being mixed and you make it sound like everyone is going to be in an interracial marriage. Most of the time, I don't see many mixed kids. I myself am 100% Vietnamese; two fully Vietnamese parents. It's not like just because it's legal to have an interracial marriage, everyone is going to have one. It's not like the whole world will be rid of purebreed humans. And even so, does it even matter? Should the race of a person even matter? This wouldn't be an arguable subject if people would just forget about races and accept people for who they were. |
