I searched and nothing came up so, I was wondering has anyone ever participated in habitat for humanity? If so what did you think of it? What skills would have made things easier? Did it effect you in any way?

I'm most probably going to chile in november with habitat for humanity, and I was wondering what people's experiences with the group were.

If you have never participated in a habitat project, have you ever thought about it?

If you have no idea what I am talking about, visist their website to find out more information

4 years ago, I participated in helping clean out some torn abandoned houses in Baltimore city. I remember it being very hot and getting very dirty. What skills would have made it easier? How about some more muscle power. There was a lot of heavy lifting. It was a nice experience though, I was glad to help out somehow.
