Is there something wrong with dating, marrying, or being intimate with someone from a different race?

I don't see any problem at all with being with someone from a different race, I like all guys.

Is it a sin?

the problem is, as each race interminles, cultural lines and genetic lines become blurred.

this causes two problems:

-the offspring of mixed decent will not maintain the culture of the minority parent- and therefore all minority cultures will eventually be destroyed.

-genetic diseases, like say huntingtons, are opened up to the world. your ancestry is mixed, and therefore cannot be use reliably as a risk factor.

I have to disagree with PiGo. Race=culture in many aspects. You may be of, say, Indian descent like I am, but there is a very rich Indian that people of Indian descent have developed.

I also have to disagree with you, Justin. It's about teaching the children about your culture and teaching them respect for other minorities. If you bring them to cultural festivals, shows, teach about the religion you practice, they will learn to maintain that culture. Plus, not all interracial marriages are between whites and blacks. Therfore, if two people of different minorities are married, it would be impossible to say that minority culture will be destroyed.

I agree that different races have different genetic makeup. But a child is inheriting the genes of both parents and creating their own genetic makeup. THeir own genetic makeup assessment, along with an assessment of each parent's genetic makeup, should be sufficient enough to calculate the risk factor for genetic diseases.
