Ok, so I'm trying to wrap my brain around how to make my page layout get to the place that I want it and I noticed a couple of things. First, this site provides layouts that don't use the xanga skin editor. Second, I hardly see any skins that do use the skin editor (even on the xanga site).
So my question is, why? At first glance it appears that the skin editor would be the way to go, since you can actually move the modules around instead of having to create custom modules to mimick the normal ones. That would have the bonus of not having to manually type in stuff like subscriptions, etc. into custom modules. Do people prefer to NOT use the skin editor mainly because it requires the user to have a premium account? If so, I can understand that. I just want to know whether there are any other reasons, because I'm about to try and learn how to use the skin editor unless there's a valid reason why not too. EDIT: here's the link to the xanga skin editor, if anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about: http://www.xanga.com/CLAF/skin.asp |

I want to know why no one has made a Xanga skin program that uses CSS and such. It'd make things a lot easier for everyone, if we had our own little front page or such to work with..instead of messing around with no idea how it's going to come out unless we keep reloading our Xanga's and keying in stuff.
