hello kids. just a quick question. when you have a picture of a friend and yourself, what do you caption it as?
"my friend and i at the picnic" or "my friend and me at the picnic" and which one is correct? i thought it was "and me" but it seems as if so many people use "and i" ...right. grammar nazis, help? edit: Yes, i know that it's "my friend and I" when you're writing a sentence. But i'm talking about picture captions. is it still the same? I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT SENTENCES, I'M TALKING ABOUT PICTURE CAPTIONS |

well since its picture captions, if there was a picture of just you, you would say "me", not "i" so therefore you say my friend and "me". or me and my friend, depending which side of the pic you're on.
