How do I add background/image in entry...?, BG in entry component and margins/width |

I have an image/background on the page or main body - but I would also like to add an image/background to the 'entry' component behind the journal entry text. How do I do that? Also, is there a way to shrink the width or margins of the entry component. I am using S2 and Component is the theme.
