If you ruled cb and you had the command to do ANYTHING, what would you do? I would ban all the members that I hate forever. In another words, expell.

But it's unlikely there are so many people doing a search at once that it would kill the server (especially given the high traffic on the database already). As for denial of service attacks, there are far easier ways to perform them than through searches; you have to be logged in to even perform a search, anyway, so a DoS'er would have to create an account, log in, and then perform any malicious actions. But if they take the time do that, there's plenty of other avenues they can use for causing damage. |
