so ive been wondering about this for a while now.. but why do all the digital art help topics go in webdesign chat? digital art has nothing to do with webdesign. the web is just one medium for it. and we HAVE a digital art forum, so why are the Photoshop questions still going in webdesign?
and why is the digital art forum in the webmasters corner category? a lot of people use digital art OFF the web. that was it's original intent - printing, advertising, etc. |

no. webdesign is not the graphics and art that make up the site. not all sites even have art in them. webdesign is the actual making of the site. i didnt say webdesign is coding, i said u need coding for webdesign. but you dont need digital art - it just gives you an advantage.
but your logic is that since you "need" digital art (which you dont) for webdesign, then all digital art questions should fall under webdesign chat, rather than digital art. however you NEED programming in order to develop a website, and yet you still have a separate forum for that. and i did not suggest you make digital art a subforum in webdesign. i said you should get RID of the webmasters corner category, put the programming and website chat INSIDE the website forum where xanga and blogger are and put the digital art forum UNDER the rest of those forums, WITH a subforum for digital art showcase. so it would look like this: blogger livejornal myspace website
digital art
etc. no webmaster's corner |
