so ive been wondering about this for a while now.. but why do all the digital art help topics go in webdesign chat? digital art has nothing to do with webdesign. the web is just one medium for it. and we HAVE a digital art forum, so why are the Photoshop questions still going in webdesign?
and why is the digital art forum in the webmasters corner category? a lot of people use digital art OFF the web. that was it's original intent - printing, advertising, etc. |

you guys are really missing the point, arent you?
there is more to digital art than website design. they fall under two different categories. when you can make a vector in dreamweaver, then we'll talk. think about it this way then, if you're going to use that kind of logic: to be a webdesigner you MUST know how to program, as opposed to having digital art knowledge, which is optional. so why is there a separate forum for programming and a separate forum for webdesign? and why have a webdesign chat forum for discussion and help and then have a website forum were the xanga/blogger forums are? do you see how inconsistant it is? you have xanga help and blogger help, and then you have webdesign help split into two categories; programming and webdesign, and not even in the web design forum. then you have the digital art forum, but no actual discussion inside it, just showcasing. however, you have a xanga showcase, blogger showcase, myspace showcase, lj showcase and website showcase, ASIDE from xanga help, myspace help, et. al. |
