Okay, so I dated some jerk once (who rides my bus and lives near me) and I told my mom I was going to the park by our house to walk. She caught us hanging out, holding hands, and talking (she doesn't approve of dating). This was a few months ago.

So now, I want to go walking with my friend tomorrow from 7-10 pm. Well, we just want to walk my dog, talk, and hopefully bump into my old neighbor who's in town because I havent seen him in forever and I want to catch up some. Well, now shes all:
"7-10? Isn't that a little LONG to be WALKING?"
"How many guys do you plan on picking up?"
Blah blah blah. I mean, she doesn't know I was dating that guy before and she doesn't understand. Anyway, how could I explain we just wanted to walk? She won't believe me and I don't know if I can ever get her to trust me. Advice for anything would help...

You busted her trust by not telling her.

no really?

anyway... what would work with my mom would probably be if I said something along the lines of "I know there's nothing I could say to gain your trust, but I can honestly say that that's all I'm going to do. If you don't want to believe me, I am entirely open to you 'checking up' on us to make sure we're not doing anything aside from what I've told you."

She'll either be like "i'm not gonna go through all that trouble.. just go.", or maybe she'll actually come out to see what you guys are up to. Even if she does, you'll have a shot at earning her trust back.
