Okay, I would like everyone's opinion on this, even the guys. Next year, I'll be a freshman in high school and at my school, there's a Fall Ball. It's a big dance and it's the next best thing to prom. You can go to the Fall Ball with friends, but I hope to get a date. Plus, it's cheaper if you go with a date. My school is very small, 300 kids grades K-12, about 20 kids per grade.
Anyway, my friends all seem to think that I'll get asked to the Fall Ball by more than one guy. I'm not popular or anything, but I'm not bad either. So my question is...what is the best way to say no to a guy who has asked me? This is where I want guys' opinions, too. I'm afraid if I say no to a guy, I won't be asked by anyone else and I'll end up going alone. I know of one guy that likes/liked me and he might ask me to the Fall Ball, but I don't like him at all. I mean, nothing more than friends. Any help with this future predicament? |

Um i don't know if this is weird or not...
But at my school we have "winter formal" which is basically the same thing but in December and well----The girls ask the guys. I go to an all girls school though so we have to ask the guys to come with us cause we run it. If you want to go with someone in particular start talking to him now and maybe he'll ask you or you'll get into a convo where it will be a mutual thing. Pick ahead of time--it works well. Then go from there. If you don't want to ask a guy then just start talking to the guys you want to ask you and they'll be likely to ask you first. Drop hints??? I guess. I'm running out of ideas.
