Good things about being Italian: -Telling people you'll call the mafia on them -The food (I don't eat it, but it sure smells good!) Bad things about being Italian: -The constant comparison of our families to the Mario brothers -How we're expected to be the best chefs ever naturally. Good things about being Cape Verdean -Race means NOTHING to us -The HUGE families where having over a hundred first cousins isn't considered odd -Being black but having blue and green eyes is common and looks cool -Meeting a Cape Verdean and finding out your related lol Bad things about being Cape Verdean -Having some VERY country relatives with names like "Madingo" -People always go "You're Cape Verde-what?" |
