I think figure skating is. Although hockey is rough, I think figure skating takes a lot more practice, effort, and definitely a lot more time! (Especially when you think that we have to get up at 4 AM sometimes!)

Hockey... some hockey players are actually figure skaters (Scott Niedermayer, for example) as well. You need to develop that skill first and then coordinate the hockey aspects into your skill.
Working in a team can sometimes be more difficult than working individually, since you can't work at your own pace and there is pressure from your teammates to do well. In addition, hockey makes you that much more susceptible to injuries, skating around with so many others on the ice surface. I dated a hockey player before and he was always injured. Things like tripping over sticks, a puck in the shin, etc. There are mental and emotional factors for both the sports, but hockey definitely takes the cake in physical terms. Oh and PS. There are plenty of 4AM practices in hockey too. |
