this summer, i have discovered this wierd feeling of asians wanting other asians to notice them when they are in a non-asian (white, black, anything non-asian) environment but not exactly willing to do anything. ill give examples...
-so im on this ship with boat 500 people, mostly white. there are about 9 other asian families and there are girls. So, i look at them (if u didn't figure out already, im an asian guy) and they stare back. As if reading my mind that i want to be with them, they gimme this look that says "sry, but there are white people". Nevertheless, i attempt to talk to them but they disappear before i have a chance to walk up. I mean, they almost KNOW you are goin to walk up to them, on account of being asian. -so im at a conference, (this being the third one) and there is onli 1 asian girl and me there. she DEFINITELY knows im comin, and mind you, now im jst lucky if i get a convo started. so i suddenly go up to her and say hello. totally surprised she says a confused "Hello???" and retreats to another table. is anyone out there having these wierd experiences. Where you try talking to an asian girl but gives you this look "not here, maybe later"? anyone ever feel like this. iono. maybe i dunno what im saying. (it doesn't need to be asian, any race in a situation where they are a minority will do.) ![]() |

i don't really get what you're saying.
if you're saying that--in a room full of people, azn people usually want to get with each other, then i understand. like on the first day of school or something. in a class full of people, the azn people will usually sit with each other or at least close by. it's just how things are. you're just more comfortable with people who are like you i guess. i'm not like that though--cuz i'm 'whitewashed' but still--azn people will sit by me nonetheless. but if you're saying azn girls ignoring you or something---then i don't know. i wouldn't know either. i'm usually more of a passive type of person. if you want to get to me, you talk to me--i'm not going to you. so i don't usually go for girls that often. but i don't know... maybe they don't like you? honestly, a lot of azn girls are very very stingy. most of the ones i've dealt with--including in my family--are just... very emotional. i guess it has something to do with azn girls. they tend to get more emotional. and they'll have something on their mind and expect you to know what they're thinking. maybe you're just running into the wrong kind of people? |
