Createblog loves newbies but being a n00b on CB isnt so easy right? , Lots of people who correct everything you say and do , who doesnt catch net feelings?


Theres a HUGE difference between a n00b and a newbie.

What is a n00b you ask?

Also Newbie; a newcomer, who in addition to merely being a beginner also acts in an annoyingly ignorant and nonchalant way.

What is a newbie you ask?

A term to describe anyone new to an area, whether it be a particular forum online or the Internet.

I dont know about you n00bs, but I rather be a newbie..



Now , your probaly wondering what are the " n00b guidelines "?


1. Reading the community guidelines is a must.
Not reading the community guidelines is like trying to build a castle out of puzzle pieces and not reading the instructions , your bound to make mistakes. For example " double posting , repeating a topic , bashing etc." can be avoided by reading the famous " community guidelines ".

2. Embracing the search button.

Embrace it , love it , learn it .. marry it if you have to. Dont make any type of topic without embracing the search button first. Unless its one of those more or less personal topics ( sharing photography , personal stories ) each topic must include at least a request for an answer/suggestion/opinion.

3. Typing correctly.

dO y0u ThInK tyPiNg LiKE ThIs MaKeS YoU CoOl? , well newsflash , we feel bad for you , give your 1st through 5th grade teachers something to be proud about! , type normally , and make sure its readable.

Other annoying types of lettering.

1. THiS iS NOT CUTE iN A FORUM , MAYBE iN A NiCK BUT N0T iN A F0RUM!
2. l337 woot woot 11111one11111!!!11
3. TYPING ALL IN CAPITALS
4. Typing regularly , but all in bold =/.

^ Please do NONE of the above.

4. THINK before you type , theres too many people who dont do that, we dont need one more.

Ignorance is spreading on CB , dont know anything about the topic ? , DONT REPLY.

5. Spam / Advertising is a huge No No.

Advertisments

1.

Refers to the practice of blindly posting commercial messages or advertisements to a large number of unrelated and uninterested newsgroups/forums.

2. If you;

1. Dont know the answer to the question..
2. Dont understand the question and everyone else seems too..
3.Have nothing to say..

then dont reply , simple right?

We dont care what your selling! , we do not care for advertisements or spam , so please dont do it.

AND THE MOST IMPORTANT ;

5. Be yourself.

You dont need to copy anybody to be " cool " , being yourself is cool enough.

So if you want to be a newbie and not a n00b , keep these things in mind.
