QUOTE
Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich just canceled today’s planned press conference for the signing of his state’s new anti-gaming law. The governor had announced yesterday that he was going to be signing the Safe Games Illinois Act into law at noon today.

But I just got off the phone with the governor’s press contact who told me it has been postponed indefinetly. He couldn’t say why it was postponed or when it will be rescheduled, but did say it won’t be happening today.

Here’s the rather brief and puzzling statement from his office.

I know for a lot of us, it's not an issue, but for the big gamers out there; this could be the start of some trouble. I doubt it has a chance of going through, but the government is a bunch of scary peeps. Anything can happen in the world we live in today.

Thoughts?

If this is about video games..then you can really voice it on the GTA thread. THat's basically about video games in general.

If it's about hunting, eh, ok?

Which one is it about? Gaming could fall both ways.
