okay my friend (and it is actually a friend, not me... i see the movies) is kinda a nerd but good looking i guess, he wants this preppy popular girl to like him... so guys do you have any tips to make him stand out (girls help too) to her...

if you call him a nerd, i'm guessing he might have... quirks. that girl might find him annoying if that's all she sees at the beginning (first impressions are important lots of the time). help him find out what they have in common first and go from there
