i thought this wouldnt happen but it did.., im kinda overwhelmed Options

a few weeks ago i posted a situation i was in. and now it kinda grew.... and im overwhelmed.

here are the people:
me
john
jessica
joe

right now i've liked joe for a little over the month. we talk a lot, kinda a mutual friendship, he's not a very open guy. i told him that i like him, and he's nice about it and very "cool" about it, but it was no real reaction. he doesnt show a sign if he likes me or not. but sometimes when we talk, i feel like he likes me, and sometimes i don't.

there's jessica and john. they used to like each other, and now only jessica likes john. but john doesnt like her anymore.

me and jessica are best friends for 13 years. =)

so while i still was liking joe, jessica introduced john to me. as like a friend thingy. and at the time. jessica told me everything, and john opened to me. so i knew they both liked each other. i tried to set them up, but nothing happen. jessica is too conservative, and john never really saw it happening.

and through that time period, me and john would always say we could see each other going out, and we'd have fun, and we'd always joke.

so one day it was a group hangout, and john and i were being flirty, i thought it was just for fun, totally platonic. he put his arm around me and i just snuggled up.

but 3 weeks later. i still like joe, and its pretty much the same, i dont know if he likes me or not. =\

jessica still likes john though. and tonight like 4 hours ago, jessica told me she wants to tell john but she cant. and i cant encouraging her, cause john told me he still likes jessica.

but 2 hours ago. (since i havent talked to john about love and stuff for awhile) i asked who he liked. and he said " i like you " at first i thought he was joking , cause earlier on today i was playing a joke on him, about me "pretending to be mad at him"

but it turns out he actually likes me, and hes liked me since the day we had the group hang out, and he put his arm around me.

but he never told me cause he was too shy. and he said he liked me cause im unique.

and now... i dont know. like when i first met him through jessica. i was like "you know what? i could go out with him. i mean he's so fun, we're flirty with each other" but i restrained myself cause he said he liked jessica and jessica likes him.

i even asked him why he wasnt so flirty with jessica and he said he was like that. but not giving me a real answer..

so now im just confused. should i continue liking joe? but dont know if he'll ever like me or not. or go out with john and risk hurting jessica? she's a very understanding person, but a friend like that for 13 years?

and i even asked joe for advice, (giving him false names) and he said that "my friend" aka me. should ask the guy i like (joe) out casually. just to see.

cause he says its rare for 2 people to just like each other unless they go out first.

so im getting mixed messages from him

i know that was quite confusing

yeah, just put yourself in your friends shoes. I know I would kill my BFF if she went out with the boy I like. So if you cherish your life I would not do anything with this john kid.
Just an idea though
