i dont know if this belongs here or the lounge, but i think this is the right spot for it..
ok so say ur out on vacation at a resort place for a week or something.. (hey that sounds like what im doing, what a coincidence!) what do you to meet new people. like friends and what not? cuz im more of the shy, non-outgoing type, mainly because i dont have much to say.. and plus i recently broke up with my gf, so im hoping this will help me get accustomed to looking for new people lol. |

Learn to engage people by having them tell you about themselves. Ask open ended questions that encourage people to tell you what they are interested in. That way you can learn new things and talk about mutual interests. Be relaxed when you do it. If you get nervous, excuse yourself and do something else. if you leave on a good note, it will be easy to start a new conversation.
if you are doing things while talking, it helps. Swimming, minature golf, horseshoes, whatever. If you are willing to try something new, have someone show you. That way you're not as likely to be nervous because you are focusing on the activity. Good Luck
