Okay so i searched the forum for a topic like this, and there was one about if you learn to love or what not, but this is a little different. And Yes I did see that they closed the last one because it really is an opinionated debate, but that's what i want.. everyones opinions. So i do apoligize if people think this topic wasn't necessary.
Anyways, my friends and I always get into these great deep conversations about things [a lot turn into debates.. because we're all so different and have different opinions]. One night somehow we got into a topic on Love, and if it is scientific, or a feeling that one feels. I said it's a feeling, not something scientific. There are parts of love that are such as sexual attraction, but i think that when you only have sexual attraction that is lust, not love. My friend said he thinks its all scientific, caused by hormones and such. I agreed that parts of it is hormones, but true love is a feeling that hormones alone cannot cause. What do you all think? |

Love is an emotion, but all emotions, thoughts, and feelings can be broken down into complicated electrochemical reactions in the brain.

QUOTE(mipadi @ Jul 11 2005, 3:20 PM) Love is an emotion, but all emotions, thoughts, and feelings can be broken down into complicated electrochemical reactions in the brain. Wow, couldn't have said it better myself. Love is what someone thinks about another person. WHY MUST PEOPLE OVERANALYZE EVERYTHING A HUMAN DOES? I agree, it is partially chemical, but people have their own opinions and thoughts that are more complex than just electrochemical reactions. And that's where love exists, that they feel they're very much compattible with another human. Love is often based off of similar opinions, which is NOT a majority of electrochemical reactions but a human's own thoughts. |
