QUOTE(mipadi @ Jul 9 2005, 5:27 PM) Well, I turn on my TV a few months ago, and I see mobs in the streets angry at the US's unilateral policy in the invasion of Iraq. Then I turned on my TV a few days ago and I see mobs of people angry at the G8 and the US. So what do these people want exactly? |

QUOTE(kryogenix @ Jul 9 2005, 7:15 PM) Well, I turn on my TV a few months ago, and I see mobs in the streets angry at the US's unilateral policy in the invasion of Iraq. Then I turned on my TV a few days ago and I see mobs of people angry at the G8 and the US. So what do these people want exactly? I just don't see how the G8 and the US constitute "playing nice" necessarily. There are far more countries outside the G8 than in. I'm not seeing how you are logically linking the world's reaction to Iraq and the world's feelings towards the G8. It's not as though the same groups who are protesting the war in Iraq are also protesting the G8 summit. They're two entirely separate issues. |
