I guess it depends on what you like. The guitar is more melodic, and can be a lot of fun to play. It's also better for creating music than the drums, as drum parts are generally written to go along with guitar parts. But I've always found the drums to be a lot more fun to play, too, and they're a really awesome instrument once you learn what you are doing with them.
If you're thinking of playing in a band, keep some things in mind: the guitar player(s) in a band are often largely responsible for writing music, and they're the ones that get most of the attention. Drummers are an integral part of any band, but they often don't get noticed--or, at least, not nearly as much as the guitarist(s)/singer(s). |
