There is a wonderful type of iced dessert made from fruit juice or puree that is just divine, but the question is: do you pronounce it as "sher-bit" or "sher-bert"?

QUOTE ^nuh uh. it's sher-bit. :| but it's spelled like sherbert... weird QUOTE It's actually Sorbet. actually, there 2 different things, (according to dictionary.com) so neither of u r right or wrong for the spelling... and it depends on what mipadi is talking about with sherbert sorbet-A frozen dessert similar to a frappé, usually made from fruit juice and having a mushy consistency. sherbert-A frozen dessert made primarily of fruit juice, sugar, and water, and also containing milk, egg white, or gelatin. **and i pronounce sher-bert, or sometimes sorbet (sore-bay)(depending on the mood i'm in!) |
