I have Xanga but I was just wondering what you people think which one is better between Xanga and Blogger and why you think that.

I wrote my own blog software for my website, and designed my own database to store the data. It's nice because there are no ads, and I can add any features I want, do whatever I want with the layout, and so forth. I also created it as a learning experience, to try to do more with scripting, so it's beneficial in that regard, too.
I've actually considered releasing the source code to other interested individuals, but...it's written in ASP/VBScript for Microsoft Access (it's on a Windows 2000 server), and not many people use that, so I don't know how useful it would be to release it. I have a PHP/MySQL version as well, but I haven't completed a fully-functional version of it yet. |
