I think that perhaps there should be a set minimum requirements in order to contribute to the feedback forum. I mean, look at some of the recent feedback threads. They're from people who either have no posts at all, or from people who don't have that many posts. And some of them aren't even feedback, they're just questions.
For example: "my posts stoped going up." "hacker r us?" "stop post the same topic in two different forums" "haha another one" Why should people who are not even active on createBlog have any say on how createBlog is run? If the changes they want are taken into effect, it won't affect them, the lurkers, but it will affect many of the active users. With a set of minimum requirements for feedback, such pointless topics could be lessened, maybe even avoided. (And people! Stop saying we need more staff! Or that we need more staff doing this or that. ![]() |

QUOTE(headphones @ Jul 7 2005, 2:50 PM) maybe just official members? I thought about that, but there have been credible threads made by regular members. Cases in point:but, still have it visible to members..just not let them post? "livejournal layouts" "official member requirements" Would it be possible to allow only official members to actually create topics, but allow regular members to reply to them? It just struck me that if a regular member really had something important to say, they could PM it to an official member / mod to create a topic in feedback. |
