does debate really solve anything? it's like two trees fighting; no matter how much they sway, they can't move each other.


debate is a funny word. debate sounds funny. like wharf.

Debating gives you a chance to see both sides of an argument, and if you're not bull-headed, it allows you to develop a less one-sided opinion so you don't seem ignorant in future debates.

Plus when people call you out on an outrageous claim, it forces you to do your research in order to avoid such embarrassment in the future.

I usually end up coming to some sort of compromise in my debates, mainly because I'm a little more loose. I don't think there's really any "right" opinion, just some are flawed slightly. wink.gif

So.. it is possible to debate debate.. I think.

And here's why it's pointless. My post doesn't actually debate debate. It debates whether debating debate is possible and whether debating is worthwhile, but doesn't debate debate itself. Or does it? :P (read that one out loud)

.:edit:. I must have confused my browser, because making this last post made every Firefox window close without warning. I had to pull out the last paragraph or so from memory. D:
