i watched it! and i thought it was pretty okay.
Jay Chou's acting was kinda.. well.. bad, but i thought Chapman and Anthony Wong made up for it. the plot wasnt too exciting, and if you didn't read the manga or watch the anime, you'd get a bit confused in the beginning. the race scenes were pretty sweet, though. |

QUOTE(ms-jojo @ Jul 5 2005, 7:21 PM) i watched it! and i thought it was pretty okay. Agree with Jay's acting being bad, thought Chapman was hilarious, Anthony Wong played the dad being drunk, not sure if that was intentional, but you have to admit they probably decided to give the movie it's own story rather than copying the anime straight off, it would be extremely boring to know everything before it happened. And this way, the film makers could find it most convenient to slot in other characters and care less of copying the anime. I heard they are getting Sammi cheung and Shu Qi to play the two girls who drive the sil80 in a second movie. |
