Hey. Are there experienced Jack Russell dog owners that can tell me if i should get one. I read that they are hard to train, especially for people who hasn't had a dog yet. Can someone tell me if that's true, or any solutions to the problem. thank you.

Let me warn you (this is from experience): Jack Russells are VERY active. They've gotta be trained at an early age (around 5~6 months). They get excited very very easily, even sudden movements like (the owner) jumping for the phone. My friend has one that's just plain lunatic. Every time someone rings the doorbell, he starts to run around the dining table at a tremendous speed, jumps up and down at guests, bite & sniff at guests... you get my point.
If you're a "beginner" in the world of dogs, perhaps you should consider "calmer" breeds such as golden retrievers, labrador retrievers, german shepard, etc. |
