Music DL Now Illegal, hm..? Options

Im sure there are topics on this but, i have some new info from my dad XD so trustful eh? He said that a new law was passed, illegalizing music downloads off of sites, programs, and anything else. Itunes and relations will be only aloud ones. You can download off Limewire, except government has put up fake music for you to download, so then they have access yo your computer. When they do this they are able to get your ip then track you down easily.

So i reccomend you not use them. But i have downloaded tons of music off limewire.... it would suck if it was shut down and stuff. Is this true? You tell me because my dad told me and.... I dunno he could be trying to keep me from downloading music from limewire. But wasnt there a law trying to illegal LimewirE? But then it failed to pass? hmm..... and suggestions of thoughts?

a law like that was passed a while ago. This is why I dont download anymore. And its the RECORD COMPANIES that are putting out the corrupeted music files, not the government. I would advise against downloading off the internet because they can trace it back to your computer and you can get a fine of over 1,000 dollars. This I do know. It was in the Dallas morning news probably a year or so back, because its happening to a lot more people than you realise. Besides, have a little respect for the people who make that music, Yeah I know, celebrities seems to ahve sooo much money, but they have to invest theire money, and so do the record companies to make that music, plus its a lot of time and hard work. Making music is stranuous as hell. Especially on your voice, which is your money maker. Trust me, I know, because I record in the studio every 2 weeks, and thats hard enough. But yeah, I wouldnt be caught downloading music for free online if I were you guys. The consequences arent worthit. Just go to ebay and buy the cd for 3 bucks.
