Wellll, me and my friend were just wondering this because once I went into this room and this Newbie double posted and everyone was like screaming [well, maybe not screaming... just saying in a mean way] at the poor guy ["Ugh, don't double next time.

Bringing this back since some idiot just wanted respect in chat; it's only been about a week anyway.
I've said before, you want respect, you earn it. It's not freely given away, it's not something people are obligated to give you. To be honest, there are a lot of members here I really don't respect, even though they do have high post counts; it's content that matters, and a lot of this shit on cB isn't worth reading half the time. Honestly, you people who kiss other members' asses, it's pretty pathetic and lame that you kids do so, especially because it's through the internet so there really is nothing to gain. Stop with the bullshit; learn what respect is. And really now. Respect from just having a high post count? That's bullshit. It's perhaps intimidation and a little bit of envy more than anything. A high post count doesn't mean jack shit. However, if you can tell by a member's posts that s/he's a dedicated member, that merits something. So when you say you respect someone for having a high post count, just no. That ain't right. I mean, take away someone's entire post count - say, BrandonSaunders or uninspiredfae - they'll still get respect because you can tell that's the sort of people they are - dedicated, hard-working, respectable. Now that it's off my chest, I'm going out. See you later, kids. |
