Ok I dont know if any of you have even read the Book of Revelations which is sometimes called the Apocalypse of John.It contains an account of the author, thought by many to be John or John of Patmos, who saw a vision describing future events at the end of the world—involving the final rebellion by Satan at Armageddon, God's final defeat of Satan, and the restoration of peace to the world. I believe it is just the Imagination of a man who was dying and using hallucinogetic drugs and It is ridiculous to even follow the "events" of this bombastic text!

Some scholars have theorized that hallucinogenic mushrooms may have had a hand in his visions and subsequent writings, yes. Given the nature of his writings, it's not that hard to fathom.

QUOTE(mipadi @ Jun 30 2005, 11:09 AM) Some scholars have theorized that hallucinogenic mushrooms may have had a hand in his visions and subsequent writings, yes. Given the nature of his writings, it's not that hard to fathom. Are you suggesting that all of the writers of the gospel were lit when they wrote their accounts? Because they sure came out similar, didn't they? |
